Charge number or charge code on release of a charge
When you submit and MR04 or MR05 for charges registered after 2013, Companies House gateway will check the charge code against their records on submission. The format required for a mandatory charge code post 2013 is 0000 0000 0000. You can use the lookup feature to help get it right as it must match exactly.
For charges registered before 2013, Companies House gateway can’t check these codes which had various different formats. Enter the creation date and sufficient information to identify the charge in the description and short particulars boxes.
