Charging instrument description
What do I do if the circumstances of the charging instrument mean there is no description to enter, and the other questions relating to the charge are all 'No'?
Companies House say:
If there are circumstances whereby the charging instrument means the description field will be left blank and ‘no’ is selected for the other three fields, the submission will not go through. In these instances the description field must contain some text – such as ‘none applicable’ or ‘none’.
If there is also no floating charge or none of the four type of assets are being charged then no will be selected for a floating charge and the description field will be left blank. Unfortunately the way the system was built, it will not accept a submission with the description field left blank and both no is selected for other charge and floating charge. The only way we get can get round it is by inserting some text in the description field (such as "none" or "none applicable"). Whilst we don't see this type of submissions very often but it can happen.
