SDLT - agent authorisation

Why are the agent authorisation questions not part of the SDLT form in Legal Forms?

Why do I need to tick and confirm we are authorised to act as an agent and to confirm correspondence must be sent to the agent and not directly to the client?

For submission via software direct to the HMRC gateway, only correspondence to the agent is supported and therefore the question is not separately needed. At the end of the SDLT form one of the declarations must be answered, the declarations include that the submitter is authorised by their client.
