Authentication items in mortgage filing

At the bottom of the MR01 and MR02 forms, you must provide three authentication items for the person who has certified the deed/instrument.

Can the authentication items on MR01 relate to an organisation instead of individual?

The Registrar's rules for Companies House state:

A document required by these rules to be authenticated by means of a personal authentication code must in the case of a body corporate be authenticated by the provision of the personal authentication code of a natural person properly authorised to act on behalf of that body.

Why do I have to fill in the authentication items on MR01?

There is a difference between the paper form and its electronic equivalent in respect to the certification of the deed. With a paper submission the certification must be on the paper deed and therefore there is no reason to have a "duplicate statement of certification" within the Form MR01.

With an electronic submission either via the Companies House Web Filing service or a software package there is no requirement  for the PDF attachment of the deed to be certified but this confirmation is required within the data of the MR01.
